Sunday Worship Services: Pastor Torrey will preach on Galatians 5:1-14 as the “Come Together” series concludes this Sunday.
U P C O M I N G:
Community Group Leader Fellowship: Tuesday, August 29th, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Community Group Leaders are invited to come for a time of fellowship and prayer, as we prepare to launch groups in the coming weeks. Families/children are invited to attend.
MOPS Meet & Greet/Registration: Wednesday, August 30th, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Come to Creekside to meet other MOPS moms and register for the 2017-18 year. MOPS meets two Wednesdays a month from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., and the first meeting is on September 13th. You can also register here.
Wednesday Nights: The youth will meet on August 30th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Ladies’ Prayer & Fellowship will not meet on Saturday, September 2nd, since that is the date of the Castle Rock Day of Prayer.
3rd Annual Castle Rock Day of Prayer: Saturday, September 2nd, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Join other believers for a community-wide time of prayer at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park.
Praise under the Pavilion: On Sunday, September 3rd, we will have only one worship service, and we will meet downtown at the White Pavilion (4th & Perry St.) Join us at 10:00 a.m. for breakfast burritos, coffee, and juice. The service will begin at 10:45 a.m. Please bring lawn chairs and invite family and friends!
Men’s Breakfast: Saturday, September 9th, 8:00—10:00 a.m. Enjoy a hearty breakfast, Bible study, prayer, and fellowship with brothers in Christ.
Women’s Christmas Event: We are looking for crafty artists, fun decorators, inspirational cooks, talented chefs, and cheerful ladies to help with this year’s Women’s Christmas Event. Please join us Saturday, September 9th, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for our first planning meeting. We will meet in Room #600 (north modular).
Seniors’ Luncheon: Saturday, September 9th, at noon. If you are 60+, come to Creekside the 2nd Saturday of each month for a delicious lunch, fellowship and a devotional. All seniors in Castle Rock and surrounding communities are welcome.
Creekside 101: Come learn about Creekside’s history, doctrine, vision and membership process. The class meets for four weeks and begins on Sunday, September 10th, at 10:45 a.m. in Room #600 (north modular). Sign up here.
Women’s Fall Bible Studies: The Tuesday morning Bible study begins on September 12th at 9:30 a.m. The ladies will do a Bible study charted from Nancy Grisham’s book, Thriving. Childcare will be provided. The Thursday evening Bible study begins on September 14th at 7:00 p.m. That group will use Kelly Minter’s All Things New, a study on 2 Corinthians. You can sign up here for either study. If you wish to purchase a book from the church, please sign up by September 5th.
Men’s Retreat: September 29–October 1, Quaker Ridge Conference Center near Woodland Park. Recharge and refresh your walk with the Lord as we learn how to experience contentment in our lives. You can sign up here.
Creekside Cares: Saturday, October 7th, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Our church will be serving South Ridge Elementary by beautifying their school. We will paint, build, mow, clean, and anything else they need to have done! We love our city, and this is a tangible way for us to show it. Childcare will be provided on site. Stay tuned for more information.
Wholehearted – A Mother/Daughter Retreat: Moms and daughters ages 12-19, save these dates for a fun and meaningful retreat on November 3 & 4! We will meet at Creekside on Friday evening and all day Saturday. More details are coming soon!
Outreach Opportunities: Open Door Ministries serves the homeless population in Denver. They need donations of warm clothing, boots, gloves, and hats before the cold weather comes. Please put your donations in the bin in the foyer. His Hands needs volunteers to spend time with kids at South Ridge Elementary during the lunch period or after school. Activities could include reading, drawing, playing games, etc. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
