T H I S   W E E K:
Memorial Service:  Carl Peak passed away last Sunday.  The memorial service will be at Creekside on Friday, October 14th, at 10:00 a.m.  Lunch will be served following the service.
Memorial Service:  Family and friends will gather at Creekside on Saturday, October 15th, at 2:00 p.m. to celebrate Susan Guthrie’s life. There will be a reception after the service. 
Sunday’s Worship Service:  Pastor Torrey will continue Lift, the message series on prayer, this Sunday.  He will reference various Scripture passages in the Old and New Testaments.
Memorial Service:  Sue Ross passed away earlier this week.  A memorial service will take place at Creekside on Sunday, October 16th, at 3:00 p.m.  Light desserts will be served after the service.  In lieu of flowers, please send gifts in memory of Sue to Creekside Bible Church’s building fund.
Welcome Dessert:  Meet some of our leadership team, and learn more about Creekside while getting to know others who are new to the church!  The next Welcome Dessert will be at the Bintner’s home on Sunday, October 16th, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.  Please RSVP here.
U P C O M I N G:
Small Groups:  The small group curriculum for the week of October 16th is attached below.
MOPS and MOMSnext: MOPS and MOMSnext meet twice a month on Wednesday mornings from 9:30—11:30 a.m., and childcare is provided.  The next meeting is at Creekside on Wednesday, October 19th.   You can register here
Creekside 101 is four-week class which is offered three times a year.  The topics covered are: Who We Are, What We Believe, Where We Are Going, and Membership.  The next session of Creekside 101 begins on Sunday, October 23rd, at 10:45 a.m. in Room #600, and all are welcome.  Sign up here.
Family Shindig:  Friday, October 28th, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.  Join us at the Genesis Project for a chili cook-off and pumpkin carving contest, big outdoor games, line dancing, hayrides, delicious food, and other family activities!  There will be great prizes for our contest winners.  Sign up here if you plan to participate in the chili cook-off (sides and drinks will be provided by the church.)  Please carve your pumpkin at home and bring it that night to be entered in the contest.
Women’s Prayer Retreat:  Saturday, October 29th, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Creekside women will gather at the Belk’s home for a day of prayer and fasting. Women 14 and older are welcome; no childcare will be provided.  Please RSVP here. If you have any questions, contact Margaret at m2nordberg@hotmail.com.
Baby & Child Dedications:  Parents will have the opportunity to dedicate their children to the Lord on Sunday, October 30th, during both worship services.  If you’d like to dedicate your child/children, please sign up here by October 24th.  One of the pastors will get in touch with you.   
Our Daily Bread Devotionals:  The current edition (September-November) is available on the Connections counter in the foyer.
Public wifi has been reinstated.  Please go to the “cbcpublic” account; there is no password.

Praise:  Rueben and Jennifer Orr are officially members of Creekside Bible Church.  Thank you for your faithfulness!

There will be a candlelight prayer vigil for Election Day on Sunday evening, November 6th.  Please save the date; more info to follow soon.
