 T H I S   W E E K:
 
Family Shindig:  Friday, October 28th, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.  Join us at the Genesis Project for a chili cook-off and pumpkin carving contest, big outdoor games, line dancing, hayrides, and delicious food (sides and drinks provided by the church).  Carve your pumpkin at home and bring it Friday night to be entered in the contest.
 
Women’s Prayer Retreat:  Saturday, October 29th, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Creekside women will gather at the Belk’s home for a day of prayer and fasting.
 
Sunday’s Worship Service:  The passage for the message on Sunday, October 30th, will be Matthew 18:21-35.
 
Creekside 101:  The 2nd session meets this Sunday at 10:45 a.m. in Room #600.
 
“The Compassion Experience” is coming to Creekside (& all of Castle Rock) on November 18-21.  This will be a special opportunity for young and old to step into a 3rd world country and experience the transformation Compassion can bring to a child’s life.  Consider going through the Compassion Experience on Sunday, November 20th, while you are already here for church!  Reserve your spot by signing up here.  Walk-ins are also welcome.  If you would like to volunteer to help; click here to get more information.
 
U P C O M I N G:
 
Small Groups:  The small group curriculum for the week of October 30th is attached below.
 
Women’s Ministry Service Project:  Thursday, November 3rd, 1:00 p.m.  We will be preparing craft projects for adults with special needs at HighPointe Center (7323 S. Alton Way, Unit A, Centennial, CO 80112).  Creekside attenders, Ken & Kim Ziel, founded HighPointe in 2011.
 
Ladies’ Prayer & Fellowship:  Saturday, November 5th, 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.  Join us at the church as we bring our prayer requests and praises to the Lord.
 
Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday, November 6th.  Remember to set your clocks back an hour as we ‘fall back’ on Saturday, November 5th!
 
Election Candlelight Prayer Vigil:  Sunday, November 6th, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.  Due to circumstances, such as the time change, the prayer vigil will begin earlier (5:00 p.m.), and we will meet in the gravel parking lot.  You are welcome to bring a lawn chair if standing would be difficult.  Please join us as we seek God’s face in Thanksgiving, Confession and Petition for our nation. All ages are welcome; no childcare will be provided.  (In the case of inclement weather, we will meet in the sanctuary.)
 
MOPS and MOMSnext: MOPS and MOMSnext meet twice a month on Wednesday mornings from 9:30—11:30 a.m., and childcare is provided.  The next meeting is at Creekside on Wednesday, November 9th.   You can register here
 
Men’s Breakfast:  Saturday, November 12th, 8:00—10:00 a.m.  Enjoy a hearty breakfast, Bible study, prayer, and fellowship with brothers in Christ.
 
Seniors’ Luncheon: Saturday, November 12th, at noon.  If you are 60+, come to Creekside the 2nd Saturday of the month for lunch, fellowship and a devotional.  All seniors in Castle Rock and surrounding communities are welcome.
 
2nd Quarter Business Meeting:  Sunday, November 13th, 12:00 p.m.  Oral ministry reports and a financial update will be given.  Childcare, snacks, and water bottles will be provided.
 
Greater Big Weekend:  This year’s retreat will be even bigger and better than last year!  Students will have loads of fun staying in homes throughout the Castle Rock area and learning how to cultivate healthy relationships.  The retreat will start on Friday evening, November 18th, and end on Sunday morning, November 20th.  The cost is $25 for the first student in a family, and $12 for each additional student.  Sign up here if you plan to attend.
 
Annual Thanksgiving Dinner:  Sunday, November 20th, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.  The Creekside family will celebrate Thanksgiving at Kirk Hall on the Douglas County Fairgrounds.  Turkey and ham will be provided.  Each family is asked to bring a side dish and a dessert. Please RSVP here so we know how many are coming and what you will bring.
 
 Our Daily Bread Devotionals:  The current edition (September-November) is available on the Connections counter in the foyer.
