U P C O M I N G:
Small Groups:  The small group curriculum for the week of November 13th is attached below.
Missionary Love Offering:  Each year we take a special offering for our missionaries who are serving down the street and across the world.  Your gifts offer encouragement and support, and they make a big difference at this time of year!  If you would like to donate, please write “missionary love offering” on your check or offering envelope.  The love offering will be collected through Sunday, November 27th.
Christmas Bags for Open Door:  Every December a team from Creekside provides 80 gift bags for the homeless they serve through Open Door Ministries in Denver.  This is made possible through your generous gifts, and we are looking forward to seeing how the Lord provides again this year.  Items needed:  gift cards for fast food places like McDonalds, Burger King, or Subway in the amount of $10-15, Christmas cookies, preferably homemade, and candy.  We need to receive everything no later than Sunday, December 11th, so we can prepare the bags for distribution before Christmas.  Please give gift cards to Bill Lueschen or Kathy Lindholm.  Cookies and candy can be marked “Open Door” and left in the kitchen.  All donations must be received by Sunday, December 11th, so the team has time to assemble the gift bags.
“The Compassion Experience” is coming to Creekside (& all of Castle Rock) on November 18-21.  This will be a special opportunity for young and old to step into a 3rd world country and experience the transformation Compassion can bring to a child’s life.  Consider going through the Compassion Experience on Sunday, November 20th, while you are already here for church!  Reserve your spot by signing up here.  Walk-ins are also welcome.  If you would like to volunteer to help; click here to get more information.
Greater Big Weekend:  This year’s retreat will be even bigger and better than last year!  Students will have loads of fun staying in homes throughout the Castle Rock area and learning how to cultivate healthy relationships.  The retreat will start on Friday evening, November 18th, and end on Sunday morning, November 20th.  The cost is $25 for the first student in a family, and $12 for each additional student.  Sign up here if you plan to attend.
Operation Christmas Child: Share the Good News with children around the world   by filling a shoebox with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items.  Pick up a shoebox and a “How to Pack…” brochure in the foyer, and bring your shoebox back to the church by Sunday, November 20th.
Annual Thanksgiving Dinner:  Sunday, November 20th, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.  The Creekside family will celebrate Thanksgiving at Kirk Hall on the Douglas County Fairgrounds.  Turkey, ham, drinks, and paper goods will be provided.  Each family is asked to bring a side dish and a dessert. Please RSVP here so we know how many are coming and what you will bring.
Office Schedule:  The church office will be closed on November 24 & 25 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Bible Class Schedule:  On Sunday, November 27th, the Creek Kids and Student Bible Classes will not meet.  The Adult Bible Class will meet on the 27th.
MOPS and MOMSnext: MOPS and MOMSnext meet twice a month on Wednesday mornings from 9:30—11:30 a.m., and childcare is provided.  The next meeting is at Creekside on Wednesday, November 30th.   You can register here
Breakfast in Bethlehem:  Saturday, December 3rd, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.  Parents and children (through 6th grade) are invited to enjoy the fun!  Start the morning with a good breakfast, then participate in crafts, photos, games and more.  This much fun must be shared, so invite your neighbors and friends!  Contact Joni Kitching (joni@creeksidebible.com
) for more information, and sign up here to let us know how many are coming.
Ladies’ Christmas Event:  Mark your calendars so you don’t miss “My True Love Gave to Me”, this year’s Ladies’ Christmas Event.  We will gather at Kirk Hall from 6:30-9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9th.  Join us as we enjoy a meal and fellowship, sing along with Victorian Christmas Carolers, and celebrate the Precious Gift given to us.  More details and sign up coming soon!
New Our Daily Bread Devotionals:  The newest edition (December-February) is available on the Connections counter in the foyer.
Worship Director:  If you or someone you know is interested in applying for the worship director position, the job description is located here on the website.

-Great job, Family Ministries, on a fantastic Fall Shindig – it was fun, built stronger relationships, and provided an opportunity to Love People!

-Kudos to the students who led worship on Sunday, October 30th.  We were all blessed by your efforts, and God was magnified through your service.
