Sunday’s Worship Service: On December 18th, Pastor Torrey will continue the “Upside Down” message series. He will reference passages in Luke 1, Matthew 1, and Ephesians 1.
Open Door: Praise God that 86 gift cards were donated for the homeless, and 30 dozen homemade cookies were received as well! The team will put 85 bags together to distribute on Sunday, December 18th.
Christmas Caroling: Families are meeting at the church on Sunday, December 18th, at 5:00 p.m. to go caroling at the Oakwood Apartments (a senior living complex on Front Street). Everyone is welcome – remember to dress warmly!
U P C O M I N G:
Catch up with David & Allison! One of our Creekside-supported missionary families, David & Allison DeJong, will be in Castle Rock over Christmas this year. The DeJongs will have a “meet and greet” at the church on Wednesday, December 21st, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Please come by to say ‘hello’ and learn more about their work!
Christmas Eve Candlelight Services: On December 24th, we will have services at 1:00, 3:00, & 5:00 p.m. Childcare will be provided for ages three and under at 3:00 & 5:00 p.m. No childcare will be provided at the 1:00 p.m. service. Please invite your family, friends and neighbors to celebrate the Savior’s birth with us on Christmas Eve!
Christmas Day: There will be no worship services on December 25th. We encourage you to worship the Savior as a family on Christmas Day!
Office Closure: In observance of the Christmas holiday, the church office will be closed on December 26 & 27. The office will be open from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on December 28 & 29.
End-of-Year Giving: Thank you very much for your generous giving to Creekside Bible Church over the last year. Please make note of the following deadlines as you make decisions for your end-of-year giving: to be tax deductible in 2016, all in-person donations must be at the church by 4:00 p.m. on December 29th, all postal donations must be postmarked no later than December 31st, and all online payments must be made by 11:59 p.m. EST or 9:59 p.m. MST on December 31st. Baptismal Services: Begin the new year by telling others you have trusted Christ as your Savior! If you would like to be baptized on Sunday, January 1, 2017, sign up here.
Ladies’ Prayer & Fellowship: Saturday, January 7th, 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Please join us as we bring our prayer requests and praises before the Lord.
Women’s Spring Bible Studies: Ladies, our new studies begin on January 10 & 12. On Tuesdays from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., we will be doing a 13-week study by Kelly Minter, “What Love Is”. This study covers 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John; the book is $13. Childcare will be provided. On Thursdays from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., in a continuation of last fall’s study on the prophets, we will watch Volume 2, Prophets and Kings, from the “That the World May Know” video series by Ray Vander Laan. This series is filmed on location in Israel and highlights the history, geography, and culture of Biblical lands and times. We will use the companion Discovery Guide ($8) as we learn about God through His prophets. You can sign up here for both studies.
MOPS and MOMSnext: MOPS and MOMSnext meet twice a month on Wednesday mornings from 9:30—11:30 a.m., and childcare is provided. The next meeting is at Creekside on Wednesday, January 11th. You can register here.
Lost & Found: Please check the bin in the foyer for anything you are missing. Everything in the bin will be donated to the Task Force on Monday, January 16th.
New Our Daily Bread Devotionals: The December-February edition is on the Connections counter in the foyer. Large-print booklets are also available.
