T H I S   W E E K:

Sunday’s Worship Services:  This Sunday Pastor Torrey continues #DoRight, the message series on the book of Titus.  The Scripture passage will be Titus 3:1-8.

Desserts Needed:  A team from Creekside serves a meal to low-income and homeless people the third Sunday of every month at Open Door Fellowship in Denver.  Dessert donations for Sunday, February 19th, would be much appreciated.  Please put the dessert in the church kitchen and label it “Open Door”.  If you would like to help serve the meal or spend time with those dining, email David Braun (missions@creeksidebible.com) to get more information.

U P C O M I N G:

Job Openings/Vision Sunday:  To fulfill our vision of “Loving God, Loving People, and Building Bridges,” the Elders are opening two new positions at Creekside.  The first will be a full-time Worship and Adult Discipleship Pastor.  The second will be a full-time Office Manager.  Click here for the job descriptions and application process.  If you know someone who would be a good fit for either role, please encourage them to apply.  The Elders know that with transition come questions, and they would love to communicate what God is doing in our church at the leadership level.  The Elders are putting together a Vision Sunday for February 26th.  If you call Creekside home and would like to know the ‘why’ behind the ‘what’, we encourage you to attend one of the worship services that morning.

Office Closure:  In observance of Presidents’ Day, the church office will be closed on Monday, February 20th.

MOPS and MOMSnext: MOPS and MOMSnext meet twice a month on Wednesday mornings from 9:30—11:30 a.m., and childcare is provided.  The next meeting is at Creekside on Wednesday, February 22nd.   You can register here

Wednesday Nights:  The youth meet on Wednesday, February 22nd, at 6:45 p.m.

Haiti Mission Trip Meeting:  Sunday, February 26th, 12:00 p.m.  The Missions Ministry is considering planning a mission trip to Haiti through Christian World Outreach.  If you are interested in going, please attend a brief meeting in the south modular on February 26th.  Water and snacks will be provided.  For more information, contact Greg Yoder at gyoder@cwomissions.org or 303-663-0295.

Ladies’ Prayer & Fellowship:  Saturday, March 4th, 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.   Please join us as we bring our prayer requests and praises before the Lord.

Family Fellowship Ministry Meeting:  Sunday, March 5th, 12:00 p.m.  Do you enjoy events like our Independence Day picnic and Thanksgiving Dinner?  If so, please consider joining the Family Fellowship team!  We will meet on Sunday, March 5th, to cast a vision for what that ministry will look like in the future – and we would love to have your input.  The meeting will be in the south modular, and lunch will be provided.  Please sign up here if you are coming.

Student Spring Retreat:  We are heading to Snow Mountain Ranch near Winter Park from March 17-20 for a time of worship, discipleship, and fun.  Sign up here ASAP as spots are limited.  The cost is $120 per student.

Women’s Retreat:  Ladies, we would love for you to join us for our spring retreat at The Hideaway Inn near Colorado Springs, April 21-23, 2017.  Please save the date, and we will let you know the rest of the details soon!

Coaches needed!  Do you have a passion for a sport or activity and enjoy teaching children the skills necessary to participate in it?  Then we have a spot for you in Creekside’s Summer Bible-Based Sports Camp!  The camp will be on the campus of South Ridge Elementary School the mornings of June 5-9.  (This is a great ministry opportunity to build bridges to our community through teaching God’s word to kids in a fun, meaningful way.) For more information, email Joni Kitching at joni@creeksidebible.com.

Barnabas Student Mission Trip:  Camp Barnabas is a camp for students with special needs and chronic illnesses. To serve, you must be 14 years old by the time camp starts.   The mission trip is June 9-17 in Shell Knob, Missouri.  For more information, visit campbarnabas.org.  You can sign up for the mission trip here.

Our Daily Bread Devotionals:   The newest edition (March – May) is on the Connections counter in the foyer.

Office Closure Policy:  The church office is open from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday–Thursday.  If the Douglas County Schools are closed because of inclement weather, the office will be closed as well.  If the schools have a delayed start, the church office will open at 10:00 a.m.

Praise: Margaret Nordberg is officially a member of Creekside Bible Church.  Thank you for your faithfulness!

Thank you to everyone who participated in and helped support the Encounter prayer event earlier this month.  We have received fantastic feedback and are excited about our next Encounter in May!

The Elders would like to ask the church family to pray for the transition that is taking place with our Pastoral Staff.  Please pray for Troy and Stephanie as God leads them down a new path, and pray for Creekside as we seek to find the person God has already chosen to be one of the next Pastors here at CBC.  Also, please know that Sunday, February 26th, will be a special day of worship as we praise God for His faithfulness and discuss the vision for the church moving forward.
