Good Day, Creekside Family!


Here are this weekend’s reminders and a few things coming up in the near future.




 Men’s Breakfast:  Saturday, May 14th, 8:00—10:00 a.m.  Enjoy a hearty breakfast, Bible study, prayer, and fellowship with brothers in Christ.

Seniors’ Luncheon: Saturday, May 14th, at noon.  If you are 60+, come to Creekside the 2nd Saturday of the month (September-May) for a delicious lunch, fellowship and a devotional.  All seniors in Castle Rock and surrounding communities are welcome.

Sunday’s Worship Services:  Pastor Torrey begins a new series, “In Him”, this Sunday.  The Scripture readings will be from the first chapter of Ephesians. 


Proposed Annual Spending Plan for FY 2016-2017:  Copies are available on the bulletin table in the foyer.  If you are a member and cannot attend the 4th Quarter Business Meeting on Sunday, May 22nd, please complete an absentee ballot and give it to Pastor Troy or Kathy Lindholm.


Alternatives Pregnancy Center:  Please pick up a baby bottle and fill it with change to support the ministry of Alternatives Pregnancy Center.  Bring the bottles back to the church by Father’s Day, June 19th.  APC now has an office in Castle Rock (303-653-9098).  The office is open on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m. and is located at 409 S. Wilcox, C-3.  In addition, the Mobile Testing Clinic will be at the Douglas Elbert Task Force the first Wednesday of each month from 10:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m.  APC offers free pregnancy tests, options counseling, material services and ultrasounds.


Brookside Outreach:  The Women’s Ministry team is collecting items to make gift baskets for the residents of Brookside Inn.  A list of needed items will be available in the foyer on Sunday (most needed:  light colored fuzzy socks with tread & sugar-free candy).  Please leave your donations at the church by Sunday, May 22nd.

Mexico Mission Trip:  The mission trip (July 6-13) is open to students, parents, and other adults.  A $50 deposit is required by Sunday, May 15th, to secure a spot on the trip.  There will be a meeting on the 15th at noon to begin planning and going over details.  Contact Pastor Larry (larry@creeksidebible.com) if you are interested or have questions or concerns.



Men’s Softball Game:  Monday, May 16th, 8:15 p.m.  Cheer on the team when they play their next game on Metzler Park field #4.


Wednesday Nights:  The youth will not meet on May 18 & 25.  Student Ministries’ Summer Kick-off will be on Wednesday, June 1st.


4th Quarter Business Meeting:  Sunday, May 22nd, at 12:00 p.m.  The membership will vote to approve the 2016-2017 Spending Plan, and written ministry updates will be available.  Childcare, water & snacks will be provided.


Graduate Recognition:  On Sunday, May 22nd, we will list the names of Creekside’s graduates in the bulletin so the church family can pray for them.  Request that your graduate (high school or college) be included by completing the signup form on the website (https://creeksidebible.ccbchurch.com/form_response.php?id=79) by Sunday, May 15th.


Kids’ Family Kite/Picnic Day:  Bring your kites and picnic lunches for a Kids’ Family Fellowship immediately following the Business Meeting on May 22nd (approximate start time: 1:00 p.m.)   Meet at the picnic tables by the playground.


Praise in the Park:  On Sunday, May 29th, we will have an outdoor worship service at 10:45 a.m. at Festival Park in downtown Castle Rock.  Please invite friends and family to attend.  The church will provide hotdogs, chips, watermelon, and cookies after the service.


Denver Ignite Outreach:  On Friday, June 3rd, Creekside will provide a meal to the international youth who attend Denver Ignite.  Sign up online if you can help provide and/or serve food to the teens (Burmese, Thai, Nepalese, and African refugees).  The youth meet from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at 1151 Xenia Street in Denver.  Also pray for salvation for the youth and their families.


Creekside 101 is five-week class which is offered three times a year.  The topics covered are: Who We Are, What We Believe, Where We Are Going, and Membership.  The next session of Creekside 101 begins Sunday, June 5th, at 10:45 a.m. in Room #600.  Childcare will be provided.  Please sign up on the website (https://creeksidebible.ccbchurch.com/form_response.php?id=78) if you plan to attend.


Kids’ Bible-based Summer Sports Camp:  You can register your kids online (https://creeksidebible.ccbchurch.com/form_response.php?id=80) for the Summer Sports Camp (June 6-10 from 9:00 a.m.—12:30 p.m.)  If you have any questions, contact Joni Kitching (joni@creeksidebible.com).


Church Camp Out at Mueller State Park:  Enjoy the beauty of God’s creation and fellowship with Creekside brothers & sisters.  Sites are available in the group campground for Thursday-Sunday, July 7-10.  Additional campsites nearby have been reserved for Friday-Sunday, July 8-10.  Reserve a campsite and pay online (https://creeksidebible.ccbchurch.com/form_response.php?id=61).  The deadline to reserve a campsite is Sunday, June 19th.


Worship Director:  We have reopened the search for a Worship Director.  If you or someone you know is interested in applying, check out the job description under the ‘Get Involved’ tab on the website.


New Our Daily Bread devotionals (June-August) are in the wall racks in the foyer.


Compassion International:  Praise the Lord that 19 Bolivian children were sponsored on Compassion Sunday!

Graduation Open House:  All are invited to celebrate Charissa House’s high school graduation at an open house at the church this Friday, May 20th, from 5:00—8:00 p.m.
