Good Day, Creekside Family!


Here are this weekend’s reminders and a few things coming up in the near future.

Praise in the Park:  Remember to invite friends and family to join you at Festival Park this Sunday, May 29th, for our outdoor worship service at 10:45 a.m.  Plan to stay for lunch after the service – we are providing hotdogs, chips, watermelon, and cookies – and there will be outdoor games to add to the fun! 


Kids’ Bible-based Summer Sports Camp (June 6-10 from 9:00 a.m.—12:30 p.m.)There are only a few days left to register your kids for the Summer Sports Camp; sign up here.  The registration deadline is this Sunday, May 29th.  If you have questions or need more info, contact Joni Kitching (joni@creeksidebible.com).

4th Quarter Business Meeting:  The vote to approve the 2016-2017 Spending Plan was unanimous.  Copies of the spending plan and written ministry updates are available in the foyer. 

Mexico Mission Trip Rent-a-Student:  Our gifted team members would love to raise support by helping mow your lawn, babysit your kids, trim your hedges, wash your car, clean your house, etc.  Contact Pastor Larry (larry@creeksidebible.com) if you’d like to rent a student.



Church Office will be closed on Memorial Day (Monday, May 30th).

Wednesday Nights:  Student Ministries’ Summer Kick-off is on Wednesday, June 1st.  The teens will meet at the church at 4:15 p.m. and go pick up the incoming 7th graders. Then they will gather at Wrangler Park (2418 Autumn Sage St.) at 5:30 p.m. for food and fun.  The evening will end with a bonfire at the Bintner’s (3607 Desert Ridge Pl.)

Denver Ignite Outreach:  On Friday, June 3rd, Creekside will provide a meal to the international youth who attend Denver Ignite.   Sign up online (https://creeksidebible.ccbchurch.com/form_response.php?id=82) if you can help provide and/or serve food to the teens (Burmese, Thai, Nepalese, and African refugees).  The youth meet from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at 1151 Xenia Street in Denver.  Also pray for salvation for the youth and their families.

Ladies’ Prayer & Fellowship:  Saturday, June 4th, 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.  Please join us as we lift our prayer requests and praises to the Lord!

Creekside 101 is five-week class which is offered three times a year.  The topics covered are: Who We Are, What We Believe, Where We Are Going, and Membership.  The next session of Creekside 101 begins Sunday, June 5th, at 10:45 a.m. in Room #600.  Childcare will be provided.  Please sign up on the website (https://creeksidebible.ccbchurch.com/form_response.php?id=78) if you plan to attend. 

Men’s Softball Game:  The next softball game is on Monday, June 6th, at 9:15 p.m.  at Metzler Park field #4.

Making-a-Difference Golf Tournament:  Do you love to golf?  Christian World Outreach is hosting a golf tournament on Monday, June 13th, at the Inverness Golf Club in Englewood.  All funds raised will go to Christian World Outreach; Greg & Laura Yoder (Creekside-supported missionaries) serve with CWO.  Please visit their website (www.cwomissions.org/events/) for more information.

Baby & Child Dedications:  Parents will have the opportunity to dedicate their children to the Lord on Father’s Day, June 19th, during both worship services.  If you would like to dedicate your child, please sign up at https://creeksidebible.ccbchurch.com/form_response.php?id=72 by Tuesday, June 14th, and one of the pastors will be in touch with you. 

Alternatives Pregnancy Center:  Thank you to all who are participating in the fundraiser for APC.  Keep filling your baby bottle with change and bring it back to the church by Father’s Day, June 19th.  APC has an office in Castle Rock (303-653-9098) which is open on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m.  In addition, their Mobile Testing Clinic is at the Douglas Elbert Task Force the first Wednesday of each month from 10:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m.  Alternatives Pregnancy Center offers free pregnancy tests, options counseling, material services and ultrasounds.

Men’s Cookout:  Friday, June 24th, 6:00—9:30 p.m.  Men’s Ministry is planning an event for the whole family—food, games and a bonfire at the Genesis Project east of the church.  We’ll provide the food, but you are welcome to bring a snack or dessert.  If you plan to attend, please sign up online by Thursday, June 23rd, (https://creeksidebible.ccbchurch.com/form_response.php?id=84).

 Church Camp Out at Mueller State Park:  Enjoy the beauty of God’s creation and fellowship with Creekside brothers & sisters.  Sites are available in the group campground for Thursday-Sunday, July 7-10.  Additional campsites nearby have been reserved for Friday-Sunday, July 8-10.  (See the attached info sheet below for more details about the campout.)  Please reserve a campsite and pay online by Sunday, June 19th, (https://creeksidebible.ccbchurch.com/form_response.php?id=61). 

Worship Director:  We have reopened the search for a Worship Director.  If you or someone you know is interested in applying, check out the job description on the website (http://creeksidebible.com/get-involved/career-opportunities/).

New Our Daily Bread devotionals (June-August) are in the wall racks in the foyer.  Large print editions are also available in the foyer.

 · Praise- Quinn and Erin Denny are officially members of Creekside Bible Church!  Thank you for your faithfulness!

· We are very grateful for Torrey and Lori House and all they do for Creekside.  Please join us in praying for them as they enjoy a much deserved rest from May 23rd to June 6th.  Specifically pray for uninterrupted rest and refreshment as they spend time together with one another and with the Lord.
