Good Day, Creekside Family!

Here are this weekend’s reminders and a few things coming up in the near future.

THIS WEEK

Senior High Graduation Dinner is this Friday, May 6th, from 5:00—11:00 p.m.  We will celebrate our graduating seniors with a night on the town.  The event is free for all the grads, and other Senior High students pay $25.  Sign up online (https://creeksidebible.ccbchurch.com/form_response.php?id=75), then meet at Creekside at 5:00 p.m. on May 6th (and wear your best duds).

Church Workday:  Saturday, May 7th, starting at 8:00 a.m.  Help us get the church and Genesis Project ready for summer!  Projects will include clean up, planting, sprinkler installation, putting rock in the islands, and installing the patio canopy.  Please bring work gloves, shovels, rakes, safety goggles, etc.  Don’t forget sunscreen, water and snacks or lunch.

Ladies’ Prayer & Fellowship:  Join us on Saturday, May 7th, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. as we bring our praises and prayer requests to the Lord.

Sunday’s Worship Services:  Pastor Torrey’s message will focus on the women in Jesus’ genealogy.  The Scriptures will be from the first chapter of Matthew.

Alternatives Pregnancy Center:  Please pick up a baby bottle and fill it with change to support the ministry of Alternatives Pregnancy Center.  We will collect the baby bottles on Father’s Day, June 19th.  Praise the Lord—APC now has an office in Castle Rock (303-653-9098)!  The office is open on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m. and is located at 409 S. Wilcox, C-3.  In addition, the Mobile Testing Clinic will continue to be at the Douglas Elbert Task Force on the first Wednesday of each month from 10:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m.  APC offers free pregnancy tests, options counseling, material services and ultrasounds.

Brookside Outreach:  The Women’s Ministry team is collecting items to make gift baskets for the residents of Brookside Inn.  This Sunday they will hand out a list of needed items.  Donations need to be at the church by Sunday, May 22nd.

Ladies’ Mountain Reretreat:  For our rescheduled retreat, we will be headed to the mountains May 12-15 to stay at The Pines Lodge in Beaver Creek, CO (which is nicer and slightly less expensive than our first location!)  You can choose to stay one, two, or three nights, and the cost includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday breakfast and dinner on Friday and Saturday.  All other meals are on your own.   We will be staying in three-bedroom luxury condos with full kitchens, and we’ll have access to a pool, hot tub, gym, and hiking.  Our speaker, Linda Kocher, will join us to share her story.  Sign up online (https://creeksidebible.ccbchurch.com/form_response.php?id=77) no later than May 8th.  Payment is also due by the 8th.  You can pay online or put a check in the offering box (put ‘Reretreat’ in the memo line).  Childcare will be provided for the Men’s Breakfast on May 14th so that moms can attend the reretreat.
