Good Day, Creekside Family!
Here are this weekend’s reminders and a few things coming up in the near future.
Chic-Fil-A Mexico Mission Trip Fundraiser: On Thursday, June 16th, you can support the Mexico Mission team by eating at Chic-Fil-A between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. If you tell your host that you are there to support the Creekside Mexico Mission Trip, Chic-Fil-A will donate a portion of the proceeds towards the mission trip. You can also rent-a-student to help team members earn funds for the mission trip; contact Josiah House (email@example.com, 303-517-3898) for more information.
LIFFT Bunco Fellowship: Ladies, join us on Friday, June 17th, at 6:00 p.m. to play Bunco! We will meet at Sandra Schroeder’s home (11 W. Wolfensberger Rd., 80109). Please bring snacks to share. Hot and cold tea, coffee, cocoa, and water will be provided. No need to sign up…just show up ready for fun!
Alternatives Pregnancy Center: Please bring your baby bottle to the church this Sunday – and thanks for supporting APC!
Sunday’s Worship Services: This Sunday, June 19th, Pastor Torrey will be preaching on Proverbs 4:20-27. The title of the message is “Father Knows Best?”
Adult Bible Class: The 10:45 a.m. Adult Bible Class will not meet this Sunday, June 19th.
Open Door Ministries: A small team from Creekside serves a meal to low-income and homeless people the third Sunday of every month with Open Door Fellowship in Denver. Dessert donations are much appreciated and may be put in the church kitchen on the third Sunday of each month, labeled appropriately. If you are also interested in volunteering your time to help serve the meal or spend time with those dining, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to get more information.
Annual Camp Out at Mueller State Park: Spend a weekend relaxing with your Creekside family at our annual camp out. Whether you have an RV, trailer, popup, or tent, campsites are available for Thursday-Sunday, July 7-10 or Friday-Sunday, July 8-10. (Additional details are in the attachment below.) Sign up here to reserve a campsite by Sunday, June 19th. Payment is also due by the 19th; you can pay online or put a check or cash in the offering box (please write “campout” on your check or the offering envelope).
Men’s Softball Game: The next softball game is on Monday, June 20th, at 6:15 p.m. at Metzler Park field #4.
Men’s Cookout: Friday, June 24th, 6:00—9:30 p.m. Men’s Ministry is planning an event for the whole family—food, games and a bonfire at the Genesis Project east of the church. The guys will provide the food, but you are welcome to bring a snack or dessert. If you plan to attend, please sign up here by Thursday, June 23rd.
Prayer Walk: The Women’s Ministry is planning a family prayer walk in downtown Castle Rock on Saturday, July 2nd. Meet at the courthouse (3rd & Wilcox) at 9:30 a.m. The prayer walk will end at 11:00 a.m.
Independence Day Picnic: Mark your calendar and plan to join us as we celebrate our country’s independence on Sunday, July 3rd. The fun will start right after the 2nd service. Each family is asked to bring a side dish AND a dessert; the church will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, drinks and paper goods!
Campout Saturday Potluck: If you are not going on the campout, consider coming to Mueller on Saturday, July 9th, for our noon potluck. Hot dogs, hamburgers, condiments, and paper goods will be provided. All you need to bring is a side dish or dessert, water bottles, and camp chairs! Plan to come early to get in a hike before lunch and stay for the fellowship that afternoon. Please sign up here if you are planning to come.
Leadership and Volunteer Prayer Training: Creekside Leaders and Volunteers, please SAVE THE DATE for one of the two following sessions on Saturday, July 23rd or Saturday, August 27th. Breakfast and lunch will be provided and a signup to RSVP will be available soon.
Rockies’ Faith Day: Watch the Rockies play the Miami Marlins on Sunday, August 7th, and enjoy Crowder in concert after the game! Tickets are $18; our seats are in section U336. Please sign up here to reserve your tickets and pay online or drop a check in the offering box by Sunday, July 17th.
Save the date: Enjoy tailgating and Air Force Academy football on Saturday, October 22nd (time TBD). This is an event for the whole family. Please sign up on the website to help us know how many tickets to purchase. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided; each family is asked to bring a side dish. Nursery Need: 3-5 helpers are needed one Sunday a month during the 1st service (9:00 a.m.), and 2 helpers are needed one Sunday a month during the 2nd service (10:45 a.m.) Please contact Susan Combs (303-660-3401, firstname.lastname@example.org,) if you can help.

< ![if !supportLists]>· < ![endif]>Kids Sports Camp was a fantastic success! We are thrilled that God was honored and the kids had a fun and exciting time. Over ½ of the children who attended were not from Creekside! We praise God for all the volunteers who made Sports Camp a reality.
< ![if !supportLists]>· < ![endif]>SAVE THE DATE for one of two prayer classes the Elders will conduct this summer (July 23rd and August 27th). Both will be from 8 am—12 pm, and the Elders will provide breakfast AND lunch! If you are a leader in any ministry, please attend one of the two sessions, and all volunteers are welcome as well. More info will be coming soon along with a signup to RSVP to one of the events.
