Men’s Breakfast: Saturday, August 12th, 8:00—9:00 a.m. Enjoy a hearty breakfast and fellowship with brothers in Christ. After breakfast, we encourage you to help with the grounds maintenance described below.
Workday: Saturday, August 12th, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Grounds maintenance will be done (mowing, pulling and spraying weeds, etc.) to prepare the playground and surrounding area for the “Pizza and Play” event later this month. Bring a water bottle, work or gardening gloves, and your own tools. Contact Don Wullschleger (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
Creekside Blood Drive: The Bonfils Bloodmobile will be at the church this Sunday, August 13th, from 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. If you would like to give blood, sign up here (enter site code A847), or call Bonfils Appointment Center at 303-363-2300. Donating blood saves lives – sign up soon!
Sunday Worship Services: The “Come Together” series continues this Sunday as Pastor Larry preaches on I John 4:7-12.
Adult Bible Class: There will be no Adult Bible Class at 10:45 a.m. this Sunday, August 13th. The class will resume on August 20th.
U P C O M I N G:
Tea & Tie: Ladies, please join us on Wednesday, August 16th, from 1:00 – 4:30 p.m. for an afternoon of fellowship and service at our annual “Tea and Tie”. We will make blankets to benefit Children’s Hospital. Previous experience tying blankets is not required. Feel free to bring tasty treats to share, such as cucumber sandwiches, petite fours, scones, jam and biscuits. Jane Konrad will host this event at her home (570 Rusty Dawn Circle, Castle Rock, 80104).
Wednesday Nights: The youth will meet on August 16th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Pizza & Play: On Sunday, August 20th, families with kids in the Nursery through 6th grade are invited for a time of Pizza and Play following the 2nd worship service. We will meet at the picnic tables and playground area for a time of fellowship. Bring a lawn chair and sunscreen!
Desserts Needed: A team from Creekside serves a meal to low-income and homeless people the third Sunday of every month at Open Door Fellowship in Denver. Dessert donations for Sunday, August 20th, would be much appreciated. Please put the dessert in the church kitchen and label it “Open Door”. If you would like to help serve the meal, contact email@example.com.
MOPS Meet & Greet/Registration: Wednesday, August 30th, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Come to Creekside to meet other MOPS moms and register for the 2017-18 year. MOPS meets two Wednesdays a month from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., and the first meeting is on September 13th. Email Megan Schembri for more information (firstname.lastname@example.org). Praise under the Pavilion: On Sunday, September 3rd, we will have only one worship service, and we will meet downtown at the White Pavilion (4th & Perry St.) Join us at 10:00 a.m. for breakfast burritos, coffee, and juice. The service will begin at 10:45 a.m. Please bring lawn chairs and invite family and friends!
Women’s Fall Bible Studies: The Tuesday morning Bible study begins on September 12th at 9:30 a.m. The ladies will study Nancy Grisham’s book, Thriving. Childcare will be provided. The Thursday evening Bible study begins on September 14th at 7:00 p.m. That group will use Kelly Minter’s All Things New, a study on 2 Corinthians. Creekside 101: Come learn about Creekside’s history, doctrine, vision and membership process. The class meets for four weeks and begins on Sunday, September 10th, at 10:45 a.m. in Room #600 (north modular). Sign up here.
Men’s Retreat: September 29–October 1, Quaker Ridge Conference Center near Woodland Park. Recharge and refresh your walk with the Lord as we learn how to experience contentment in our lives. You can sign up here.
