Daylight Savings Time ends this Sunday, November 5th.  Remember to turn your clocks back one hour when you go to bed on Saturday night!

Sunday Services:  Pastor Torrey will preach on Philippians 3:12-21 on Sunday, November 5th.  We will celebrate Communion this Sunday, and the deacons will accept donations for the Benevolence Fund after the service.

2nd Quarter Business Meeting:  The meeting will begin immediately after the 10:45 a.m. worship service this Sunday, November 5th.  Finance and ministry reports will be given, and all are welcome to attend.

International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church:  Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are persecuted for their faith around the world.  This Sunday, November 5th,  has been designated the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.  Voice of the Martyrs provides multiple resources that will assist you in praying for the persecuted.  You can learn more at persecution.com/IDOP.

Community Groups:  Sign up here if you would like to participate in a Community Group.  The Connect (click here) is the lesson the groups will study the week of November 5–11.  The November 5th Connect is also attached below.

Thanksgiving Dinner & Outreach:  Sunday, November 12th, 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Kirk Hall on the Douglas County Fairgrounds. Our annual Thanksgiving Dinner is a week earlier this year!  The church will provide turkey and ham, cranberry sauce, rolls, drinks, and tableware.  Families are asked to bring a side dish and a dessert.  Please sign up here by Friday, November 10th.  As we celebrate God’s goodness, we also want to reach out to those in need.  Everyone is encouraged to bring homemade cookies or gift cards for the Christmas bags we will give to the homeless served by Open Door Ministries. The details are on the sign-up form.

Operation Christmas Child:  The shoebox you fill with toys, school supplies, and personal care items may be a child’s first Christmas gift.  And through that gift, each child will also hear the gospel, the greatest gift of all!  When you take a shoebox, be sure to get a “How to Pack Your Shoebox” envelope for instructions (e.g., you can no longer send toothpaste, candy, and gum.)  Because our storage space is limited, please bring your filled shoebox to Creekside on Sunday, November 19th, OR you can take it to the nearest drop-off location, Ridgeline Community Church, from November 13-20 (drop-off hours & directions are available at https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/drop-off-locations.)

Missionary Christmas Love Offering:  During the month of November, we collect a love offering for our missionaries so we can send them a special gift at Christmas time.  If you would like to bless our missionaries this holiday season, please put your check or cash in the offering box by Sunday, November 26th, and write “missionary love offering” in the memo line or on the offering envelope.

Desserts Needed:  A team from Creekside serves a meal to low-income and homeless people the third Sunday of every month at Open Door Fellowship in Denver.  Dessert donations for Sunday, November 19th, would be much appreciated.  Please put the dessert in the church kitchen and label it “Open Door”. If you would like to help serve the meal, contact missions@creeksidebible.com.

Nursery Helpers Needed:  Three additional helpers are needed during each service on a once a month rotation.  If you can help, contact Susan Combs (susan@creeksidebible.com, 303-660-3401.)

Blessing the Worship Team with Breakfast:  Our worship team volunteers faithfully give 8-10 hours of their time each week to prepare to lead our congregation in worship.  We hope to form a team of people who are willing to supply breakfast for the worship team each week.  A rotation would be established once enough volunteers have committed to this ministry.  Food for 15 people would need to be brought to Room #220 by 8:30 a.m. each Sunday.  If you would like to help with this, contact Clint (clint@creeksidebible.com) for details.

New Our Daily Bread Devotionals:  The December–February edition is available on the Connections counter.

Church Office:  Office hours are Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  If you have any questions or would like to speak to a staff member, please call 303-688-3745.  Inclement weather policy:  If the Douglas County Schools are closed because of inclement weather, the office will be closed as well.  If the schools have a delayed start, the church office will open at 10:00 a.m.
