Thanksgiving Dinner & Outreach:  Sunday, November 12th, 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Kirk Hall on the Douglas County Fairgrounds. Our annual Thanksgiving Dinner is a week earlier this year!  The church will provide turkey and ham, cranberry sauce, rolls, drinks, and tableware.  Families are asked to bring a side dish and a dessert.  Please sign up here by Friday, November 10th.  As we celebrate God’s goodness, we also want to reach out to those in need.  Everyone is encouraged to bring homemade cookies or gift cards for the Christmas bags we will give to the homeless served by Open Door Ministries. The details are on the sign-up form.

Sunday Services:  Pastor Torrey will preach on Philippians 4:1-9 on Sunday, November 12th. This week our worship team will be teaching a new song in Sunday services.  The song is “Sing for You” by Steven Curtis Chapman.  We invite you to listen to it here and be ready to worship through song on Sunday.

Community Groups:  Sign up here if you would like to participate in a Community Group.  The Connect (click here) is the lesson the groups will study the week of November 12–18.  The November 12th Connect is also attached below.

Dress Rehearsal for Worship Team and Ensemble:  Saturday, November 25th, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.  If you are part of the Worship Team or Ensemble, please make sure to attend the dress rehearsal.  We will run through all the elements that will be presented on the 1st Sunday of Advent.

Operation Christmas Child:  Many children accept Christ as Savior through Operation Christmas Child, so your shoebox gift will not only meet physical needs but spiritual needs as well.  When you take a shoebox, be sure to also get a “How to Pack Your Shoebox” envelope for instructions (e.g., you can no longer send toothpaste, candy, and gum.)  Because storage space is limited, please bring your filled shoebox to Creekside on Sunday, November 19th, OR you can take it to the nearest drop-off location, Ridgeline Community Church, from November 13-20 (drop-off hours & directions are available here.

Desserts for Open Door:  A team from Creekside serves a meal to low-income and homeless people the third Sunday of every month at Open Door Fellowship in Denver.  Dessert donations for Sunday, November 19th, would be much appreciated.  Please put the dessert in the church kitchen and label it “Open Door”. If you would like to help serve the meal, contact missions@creeksidebible.com.

Missionary Christmas Love Offering:  During the month of November, we collect a love offering for our missionaries so we can send them a special gift at Christmas time.  If you would like to bless our missionaries this holiday season, please put your check or cash in the offering box by Sunday, November 26th, and write “missionary love offering” in the memo line or on the offering envelope.

Child Dedications:  Parents will have the opportunity to dedicate their children to the Lord on Sunday, December 10th, during both worship services.  If you’d like to dedicate your child or children, please sign up here by December 3rd and one of the pastors will be in touch with you.

2nd Quarter Business Meeting:  The financial and ministry reports are attached below.

Nursing Mom’s Room and Hospitality Room: The staff is pleased to announce the renovation of Rooms 210 and 220 into a Nursing Mom’s Room and a Hospitality Room! With the addition of a lot of precious babies at our church, we noticed the need for a space for them and their moms. A huge bonus of this project came in the form of designing the Hospitality Room, a multi-purpose space that can be used for prayer, counseling, the worship team, and Creekside 101 on Sundays. The hospitality room also enables community groups, baby showers, meetings, and other gatherings to take place during the week in a more welcoming and comfortable environment than a classroom. Both rooms are now equipped with simulcasting video equipment so that people don’t have to miss the service. Thanks to everyone who participated in the project and was flexible as we made the transition!

Nursery Helpers Needed:  Three additional helpers are needed during each service on a once a month rotation.  If you can help, contact Susan Combs (susan@creeksidebible.com, 303-660-3401.)

Blessing the Worship Team with Breakfast:  Our worship team volunteers faithfully give 8-10 hours of their time each week to prepare to lead our congregation in worship.  We hope to form a team of people who are willing to supply breakfast for the worship team each week.  A rotation would be established once enough volunteers have committed to this ministry.  Food for 15 people would need to be brought to Room #220 by 8:30 a.m. each Sunday.  If you would like to help with this, contact Clint (clint@creeksidebible.com) for details.

New Our Daily Bread Devotionals:  The December–February edition is available on the Connections counter.

Church Office:  Office hours are Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  If you have any questions or would like to speak to a staff member, please call 303-688-3745. Inclement weather policy:  If the Douglas County Schools are closed because of inclement weather, the office will be closed as well.  If the schools have a delayed start, the church office will open at 10:00 a.m.
