Sunday Services:  Pastor Larry will continue the “Advent” message series this Sunday, December 10th.  You can read Luke 2:8-20 in preparation for his message.

Child Dedications:  On Sunday, December 10th, Brian & Melissa Robertson will dedicate their son to the Lord during the 9:00 a.m. service.  During the 10:45 a.m. service, Clint & Harmony Felts, Rick & Michelle Farnholtz, T. Chris & Gina Madrid, Cameron & Mariah Moore, and Chris & Jayne Reynolds will be dedicating their children to the Lord.

 Open Door Christmas Bags:  Each December, we give gift bags to the homeless served by Open Door Ministries.  If you would like to participate, please bring $5-$15 gift cards for Subway, Wendy’s, Burger King, or McDonald’s by Sunday, December 10th.  You can put the gift cards in an offering box or give them to Kathy Lindholm.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Services:  Since Christmas Eve is on a Sunday, our Candlelight Services will be at 9:00 a.m., 10:45 a.m., and 1:00 p.m.  Childcare will be provided for ages four and under during the morning services.  No childcare will be provided at the 1:00 p.m. service.  Bible classes will not be meeting.

End-of-Year-Giving:  To be tax deductible in 2017, gifts to the church must be received at the office by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29th.  If you mail a check, the envelope must be postmarked by December 31st.  You can also put a check in the offering box by noon on Sunday, December 31st, or you can give at until midnight on December 31st.  We are charged a 2.8% processing fee if you use a credit or debit card.  You can log into CCB to use an electronic check. Baptismal Services:  On Sunday, January 7th, we will have baptismal services at 9:00 and 10:45 a.m.  If you would like to be baptized that day, please sign up here, and we will schedule a time for you to meet with a pastor.

Community Groups:  Sign up here if you would like to join a Community Group.  The groups are taking a break through the holiday season and will resume meeting the week of January 21st.

Lost & Found:  If you are missing anything, please check the bin under the coat rack by Sunday, December 17th.  After that date, all unclaimed articles will be donated to the Task Force.

Nursery Helpers Needed:  Additional helpers are needed on a once-a-month rotation.  If you can help, contact Susan Combs (, 303-660-3401.)

 New Our Daily Bread Devotionals:  The December–February edition is on the Connections counter. The large-print edition (January – March) is also on the counter.

Church Office:  Office hours are Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  If you have any questions or would like to speak to a staff member, please call 303-688-3745. Inclement weather policy:  If the Douglas County Schools are closed because of inclement weather, the office will be closed as well.  If the schools have a delayed start, the church office will open at 10:00 a.m.

A D U L T   M I N I S T R Y

Men’s Breakfast:  Saturday, December 9th, 8:00—10:00 a.m.  Enjoy a hearty breakfast, Bible study, prayer, and fellowship with brothers in Christ.

 Seniors’ Luncheon: Saturday, December 9th, at noon.  If you are 60+, we invite you to come to Creekside the 2nd Saturday of each month for a delicious lunch, fellowship and a devotional.  All seniors in Castle Rock and surrounding communities are welcome.

 MOPS & MOMSnext meet at Creekside twice a month on Wednesday mornings, and childcare is provided.  The next meeting is on Wednesday, December 13th, from 9:30—11:30 a.m., and you can register here.

Blessing the Worship Team with Breakfast:  Our worship team volunteers give 8-10 hours of their time each week to prepare to lead our congregation in worship.  We are forming a team of people who are willing to supply breakfast for the worship team each week.  A rotation will be established once two more volunteers have committed to this ministry.  Food for 15 people would need to be brought to Room #220 by 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.  If you would like to help, contact Clint ( for details.

S T U D E N T   M I N I S T R Y

Christmas at the Crema:  On Wednesday, December 13th, the youth will have their annual Christmas party at Cookies and Crema from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.  Bring a Disney-themed white elephant gift.  The party will include Karaoke, a costume contest, cookies, and a visit from Torrey Clause!

Operation Christmas Child: Students and adult volunteers are going to serve at Operation Christmas Child’s Denver warehouse on Thursday, December 14th.  They will meet at Creekside at 3:45 p.m. and return about 10:00 p.m.  Volunteers must be 13 or older to serve at the warehouse, and spaces are limited.  Sign up here if you plan to come. 

Carol-vanning:  Wednesday, December 20th, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.  We will be meeting at the church and caravanning to the homes of Creekside’s Seniors to sing Christmas Carols, hence “Carol-vanning!”

Christmas Program Rehearsal:  Saturday, December 16th, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.  Kids grades K-6 will have a dress rehearsal for their Christmas Program.
