This Sunday:  Pastor Torrey will continue the “Christmas Unwrapped” series this Sunday, December 15th.  The passage is Luke 1:39–56, and the title is “A Catchy Christmas Tune!”.  This Sunday we will be singing a new song, “”.  You can listen to the song here.

Community Groups:  Pastor Clint has written a Family Advent Guide that is attached below.  Community Groups will be taking a break over the holidays and will resume meeting the week of January 12th.  You can sign up here to join a community group.

Christmas Week Services:

On Sunday, December 22nd, we will have a Family Service at 9:00 and 10:45 a.m.   (Nursery care will be provided for ages five and under.)  We’ll have donut holes for the kids, and there will also be activities and a special message for them.  Wear comfortable clothing as we spend a relaxing morning looking forward to our Savior’s birth.

Our Candlelight Christmas Eve Services on December 24th will be at 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m.  Nursery care for five and under will be provided at the 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. services.  There will be no nursery provided at the 1:00 p.m. service.

End-of-Year Giving:  To be tax deductible in 2019, gifts to the church can be placed in the offering box on Sunday, December 29th, or brought to the church office by noon on Tuesday, December 31st.  If you choose to mail in your year-end gift, the envelope must be postmarked by December 31st.  You can also give at until midnight on December 31st.

New Our Daily Bread Devotionals (December–February) are available on the Connections counter.  The January through March large-print edition is also at Connections.

Inclement Weather:  When conditions are snowy or icy, it is possible that the office will not be open during regular office hours.  Please check the website or Creekside’s Facebook page to see if the office is closed because of inclement weather.

Seniors’ Luncheon:  Saturday, December 14th, at noon.  If you are 60+, come to Creekside the 2nd Saturday of the month for lunch, fellowship and a devotional.  All seniors in Castle Rock and surrounding communities are welcome.

Financial Peace University:  Almost 5 million people have taken control of their money with the easy-to-follow lessons they have learned in Financial Peace University.  They have learned practical ways to create a budget, pay off debt, make wise spending choices, save for the future and more.  Creekside will host an FPU class beginning January 12th at 9:00 a.m. and running for nine weeks.  Scholarships are available.  For more information and to get signed up click here

Wednesday Nights:  Creekside’s Student Ministry Christmas Party will be on December 18th from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at the C & C Coffee Kitchen.  Bring a white elephant gift ($10 limit).

Desserts Needed:  A team from Creekside serves a meal to low-income and homeless people on the third Sunday of every month at Open Door Fellowship in Denver.  Dessert donations for Sunday, December 15th, would be appreciated.  Please put the dessert in the kitchen and label it “Open Door”.
