This Sunday: One of our deacons, Bill Wilson, will preach on Matthew 6:19–24 on July 7th. The title of the message is “Kingdom Living Means Investing for Eternity”.
Summertime Flex – Discipleship Emphasis:
This summer we would like to give you a scripture and a few questions to consider each week. There is flexibility as to when, where, and with whom you do this, hence the name. This week we encourage you to discuss the following passage with a family member, neighbor, friend or coworker. Here are the passage and discussion questions for this week:
READ – Psalm 73:23 – 28
- Do you think that dependence to this level is natural or unnatural for people in our day and age and in our nation?
- How does dependence on God free us to live a full life in Him? How does independence ultimately lead us to a life of sin and slavery?
Fingerprinting: If you need to be fingerprinted in order to volunteer in the Creek Kids or Students Ministry, Jayne can take your fingerprints this Sunday, July 7th, from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. in Room #510.
All-Church Hike to Helen Hunt Falls: Saturday, July 27th, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. We invite you to join us as we hike to Helen Hunt and Silver Cascade Falls. This is an easy one-mile hike with lots of stairs – it is a great hike for dogs and kids! If there is enough interest, a second group can do a four-mile moderate hike from a different trailhead. When you sign up here, please let us know if you would like to meet at the church at 9:00 a.m. to carpool.
Creek Kids’ Pastor/Director Position: Two candidates for the position were interviewed last week. Both interviews went well and 2nd interviews will be scheduled later this month. Pray for God’s guidance as the process continues.
Community Groups: Community Groups will resume meeting in the fall. You can sign up to be part of a Community Group here

Tour of Parks: Creekside moms and kids are gathering at area parks on Thursdays this summer, and you are invited to join them. On July 11th, they will be meeting at the Phillip S. Miller Splash Park from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Pack up the kids, lunch, water bottles, and sunscreen, and feel free to invite a friend!
Men’s Breakfast: Saturday, July 13th, 8:00–10:00 a.m. Enjoy a hearty breakfast, Bible study, prayer, and fellowship with brothers in Christ.
Women’s Ministry Interest Meeting: Would you be interested in helping with our Women’s Ministry events or even consider being on the ministry’s leadership team? If so, please come to an informational meeting after the 10:45 a.m. service on Sunday, July 21st. We will meet in the Hospitality Room (#220), and a light lunch will be provided. Please sign up here so we know how many to plan on for lunch. If you cannot attend the meeting but would like to be considered for the leadership team, please submit a letter of interest to Erin by July 27th.
Men’s Retreat: September 13–15 at the Drury Inn in the Tech Center. Pastor Larry will encourage us with a resource that has challenged him in the past – “The Quest for Authentic Manhood” (https://www.authenticmanhood.com/). In addition, there will be door prizes, activities, and a Rockies game on Saturday night. Breakfast is provided each day as well as dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings, and lunch on Sunday. Sign up by Sunday, August 4th, to receive a 10% discount on your registration fee and be entered into the drawing for a free retreat! Additional details and a sign-up form will be available soon!
Creekside Mamas, a new ministry for mothers with young children, begins this fall. The group will meet at Creekside twice a month on Thursday mornings from 9:30–11:00 a.m., and childcare will be provided. Moms will enjoy spiritual refreshment while they build meaningful friendships with other moms of young kids. Please sign up here, and contact Megan with any questions.
CREEK KIDS MINISTRY

Please email Harmony at firstname.lastname@example.org to say “Yes, I want to volunteer to make an eternal impact for Christ in the lives of our Creek Kids!”
Summer Around the Rock: Join us on Wednesday, July 10th, at a local park for volleyball, worship, and Bible study! We will meet from 6:30–8:30 p.m. Contact Drake if you have any questions.
Monday Night Date Night: Parents, do you want a night out? Creekside Student Ministries is providing free childcare at the church on July 15th from 6:30–10:00 p.m. so you can enjoy the evening while we take care of your kids! Snacks and games will be provided. Sign up and fill out a waiver here.
MISSIONS AND OUTREACH
Eagle Scout Project: Michael is gathering items to put together 26 sensory boxes for foster children. His goal is to fill the boxes with things such as playing cards, stickers, markers, and colored pencils that could provide distraction or relaxation for a child who is experiencing stress. If you would like to help, you can contact the church office for a list of the items he is collecting. Michael will be in the foyer on Sunday, July 14th, to answer questions and receive donations of supplies for the sensory boxes.
Desserts Needed: A team from Creekside serves a meal to low-income and homeless people on the third Sunday of every month at Open Door Fellowship in Denver. Dessert donations for Sunday, July 21st, would be appreciated. Please put the dessert in the kitchen and label it “Open Door”. If you would like to help serve the meal, you can contact Jay at email@example.com.
The Elders are excited to welcome Adam & Autumn, Jeremy & Kelly, and Larry as new members of Creekside Bible Church!
