This Sunday:  On May 26th, the Creekside family will gather at 10:45 a.m. for an outdoor worship service at the White Pavilion in downtown Castle Rock (414 Perry St.)  Bring your lawn chairs and come at 10:00 a.m. for breakfast burritos, coffee, and juice.  Danny Oertli, Worship Pastor at Mission Hills and recording artist, will provide the message and worship music.  Kids who complete a Children’s Bulletin will get to pick a prize from the Treasure Chest.  Please invite your neighbors, friends and family to attend.   There will be no worship services at Creekside on May 26th.

Office Schedule:  The church office will be closed on Monday, May 27th, in observance of Memorial Day.  The office will be open Tuesday–Thursday, May 28–30, from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. 

4th Quarter Business Meeting:  Sunday, June 2nd, 12:00 p.m.  The membership will vote to approve the 2019-2020 Spending Plan, and written ministry reports will be handed out.  Snacks, water bottles, and childcare will be provided.  If you are a member and cannot attend the business meeting, please complete an absentee ballot and give it to one of the elders by June 2nd.  The proposed 2019-2020 Spending Plan and an absentee ballot are attached below.

Creek Kids’ Pastor/Director Position:  The Elders and Pastors have spent many hours praying about the future of our Creek Kids’ ministry, and they have felt led to look for a full-time person to lead this ministry.  We have begun a nationwide search to hire an individual (male or female) to shepherd the next generation at Creekside.  You can find the job posting here.

Holy Land Trip:  If you might be interested in going to Israel in April of 2020, please sign up here by June 3rd.  When we have the names of those considering the trip, we will schedule an informational meeting.  

Membership Process:  The Elders are available to meet with prospective members at 9:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings.  If you are interested in becoming a member, you can complete the membership application here or get a hard copy from Kathy (, 303-688-3745).  After you have submitted a membership application, Alison will get in touch with you to schedule a meeting with the Elders.

Community Groups:  Community Groups are taking a break for the summer, and they will resume meeting in the fall.  You can sign up to be part of a Community Group here.

Pastor Torrey is on sabbatical until August 5th.  Since the focus of his sabbatical is rest and renewal, Torrey is not available by phone or email until he is back in the office on Monday, August 5th.

Our Daily Bread Devotionals:  The June–August edition is available at Connections.  Large-print editions for April–June are also available.

A D U L T   M I N I S T R Y

Young Adults Meeting:  We are starting a young adult group this summer for those in their 20s.  The kick-off event will be at Festival Park from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9th.  Come join us for Bible Study, food, fellowship, and fun activities.  We will meet at various locations every Sunday evening through August 4th.  You can sign up for the group here.  If you have questions, please reach out to Destry. 


C R E E K   K I D S   M I N I S T R Y

Sports Camp Volunteers:  There will be a meeting for all volunteers at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 2nd, (location TBD).  Adults and youth are still needed to be assistant coaches and leaders.  Sign up here to volunteer.

Sports Camp:  June 3–7 at South Ridge Elementary School from 8:45 a.m.–noon.  Children entering 1st–7th grade are welcome to attend.  This year we are offering baseball, football,  games, volleyball, basketball and pickleball.  Sign up here.  The fee will be $20). 

Kids’ Ministry Volunteers Needed:  During the 9:00 a.m. service, a teacher and a helper are needed in the 2nd–3rd and 4th–6th grade classes twice a month.  To volunteer, contact Madeline at


S T U D E N T   M I N I S T R Y

Wednesday Nights:  The youth will not meet on May 29th or June 5th.  “Summer at the Rock” begins on June 12th. 

4th Sundays are a time of in-depth study for students who desire to be trained in theology, biblical leadership, apologetics, and other fields.  On Sunday, May 26th, we will meet from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Allevato’s home.  Students are encouraged to bring a sack dinner; snacks will be provided.  Contact Drake  ( for more information.
