Pray for Uganda: A bill is before the government to close 15,000 churches in Uganda.  This move would follow a similar trend that has already happened in Rwanda.  At this moment the only reported criteria used to determine which churches the government will close is whether the pastor has formal pastoral training.  This underscores the urgent need for accredited pastoral education.  This bill also includes requirements for inclusive training on LGBTQ tolerance.  Please pray that the church in Uganda and its leaders would be united together in truth and grace and that this bill would be defeated.

Desserts Needed:  A team from Creekside serves a meal to low-income and homeless people on the third Sunday of every month at Open Door Fellowship in Denver.  Dessert donations for Sunday, February 17th, would be appreciated.  Please put the dessert in the kitchen and label it “Open Door”.  If you would like to help serve the meal, you can contact Jay Belk at

This post will expire on Thursday February 28th, 2019 10:25am.
