Sunday Services:  Pastor Larry will continue the “Game Plan” series this Sunday, September 16th, and the passage for his message will be Matthew 28:18–20.

Creekside 101:  Learn about Creekside’s history, doctrine, vision and membership process.  The class began last Sunday and meets for three more weeks at 10:45 a.m. in Room #220 (Hospitality Room).  All are welcome.  

Community Groups:  Sign up to be part of a Community Group here.  Each week one of the pastors writes a study, called the Guide, that facilitates a discussion about that Sunday’s message. The Guide is attached below, or you can pick up a copy at Connections this Sunday.

Advent Ensemble:  To prepare for our Advent ensemble, we will have an informational meeting on Sunday, September 16th, after each worship service.  If you are interested in participating in the Advent ensemble, please sign up here.  We will meet by the stage after each service, and information about practice times and performance dates will be available.  

Encounter:  Friday, October 12th, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.  We will gather for a night of worship and prayer as we prepare our hearts to serve our community as a church the following day.  Childcare will be available.  More details coming soon!

Creekside Cares is a day when we go into the community to be the hands and feet of Jesus by serving others in real and practical ways.  On Saturday, October 13th, we invite you and your family to get involved in our 2nd Annual Creekside Cares Day.  Mark your calendar and sign up here to participate!

Part-time Volunteers Needed:  Are you looking for a place to serve and show the love of Jesus, but your time is limited?  We are looking for people who will serve in the nursery on the 5th Sundays and during special holiday services.  Your willingness to serve in these gap spaces will bless not only sweet babies, toddlers or preschoolers, but also our regular volunteers!  Contact Karyn Hoffman ( for more details or if you can help.

A D U L T   M I N I S T R Y

9:00 a.m. Adult Bible Class:  A new study, Unlocking the Mysteries of Genesis, began last Sunday, but it is not too late to join the class. They meet in the south modular, Room #700.

10:45 a.m. Adult Bible Class:  The class is studying Isaiah this fall.  They meet in the south modular (Room #700), and all are welcome!

MOPS and MOMSnext meet at Creekside twice a month on Wednesday mornings from 9:30—11:30 a.m., and childcare is provided.  Their next meeting will be September 19th, and you can register here.

Women’s Fall Bible Studies:  On Tuesday mornings, the ladies are doing Elizabeth George’s study on 1 Peter, Putting on a Gentle and Quiet Spirit.  Their next meeting is on September 18th from 9:30–11:30 a.m.  You can sign up for the study and purchase the book here.  Beginning on Thursday, September 27th, an evening study will be meeting from 7:00–8:30 p.m. (note date change).  The first three weeks will be a study of the Trinity, and then the group will study Colossians.  You can sign up here.

Men’s Retreat:  Join us September 28–30 at Quaker Ridge Camp & Conference Center.  Many of us live in isolation from other men.  We need interaction with each other for fellowship and perspective, so we can live as God desires and have His best for us!  The cost for lodging and meals is $99, and you can sign up here.

S T U D E N T   M I N I S T R Y

Wednesday Nights:  The youth will meet at Creekside from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. on September 18th

4th Sundays are a time of in-depth study for students who desire to be trained in theology, biblical leadership, apologetics, and other fields.  On Sunday, September 23rd, we will meet at the Graf’s home from 5:00–7:30 p.m.  Contact Pastor Larry ( for more information.

C R E E K   K I D S   M I N I S T R Y

Bible Class Teachers Needed:  Volunteers are needed to teach 2nd & 3rd grade kids once or twice a month during the 10:45 a.m. worship service.  The rewards are abundant, and the preparation each week is undemanding.  Please contact Joni Kitching, Kids’ Ministry Director, ( if you are interested or need more information!

Desserts Needed:  A team from Creekside serves a meal to low-income and homeless people on the third Sunday of every month at Open Door Fellowship in Denver.  Dessert donations for Sunday, September 16th, would be much appreciated.  Please put the dessert in the church kitchen and label it “Open Door”.
